Ke$ha Pens Song for Rihanna

Pop’s hottest newcomer Ke$ha already has a No. 1 single with “Tik Tok,” and now she’s lending her songwriting talents to another superstar.

The 22-year-old singer, who released her debut album Animal last week, has penned a song for Rihanna.

“I just wrote a song for Rihanna,” Ke$ha told BRAVO WebTV. While she didn’t divulge details, she did say that she “hopes” it will appear on RiRi’s next project.

Ke$ha sang the hook on Flo Rida’s chart-topper “Right Round.” Her songwriting credits include The Veronicas’ “This Love” and Miley Cyrus’ “The Time of Our Lives.”

Meanwhile, “Rude Boy” is slated to be the next single from Rihanna’s Rated R album, which is currently No. 14 on the Billboard 200.

‘Rated R’ will go Platinum in the US

‘Rated R’ has officially been certified Platinum in the US by the RIAA. This doesn’t mean ‘Rated R’ already sold 1 million copies. It means that over 1 million records in total have been shipped over to the United States, implying the fact that it will go Platinum.

This makes ‘Rated R’ the 3rd consecutive Platinum album in the US released by Rihanna! I guess there’s only one thing left to say… That Rihanna reign just won’t let up!

Tyrese’s Birthday Bash Brings Out Rihanna…and the Cops!

E! Online: Tyrese’s birthday party at MyHouse last night brought out all the big names like Diddy, Rihanna and her new baseball beau Matt Kemp, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx…and the LAPD?

It was quite the scene outside the Hollywood hot spot as helicopters and police officers were called in to help with crowd control. Not that the birthday boy seemed bothered by the police presence. “1,100 people turned away!” Tyrese twittered. “17 police officers outside. Hellicopters, SHUT DOWN!” It probably didn’t help matters that Diddy was also tweeting about the bash—making it the party to crash.

Rihanna wins 2 Barbados Music Awards (2010)

Rihanna didn’t attend this year’s annual Barbados Music Awards, but she did win two of the biggest awards for the night which her cousin Noella came up to accept on her behalf. She won “Song of the Decade” and “Entertainer of the Decade“. Congrats to Rih!

Shontelle, another very talented upcoming singer from Barbados, was honored that night for now being ranked Barbados’ 2nd best selling female of all time, after her debut album “Shontelligence” went platinum worldwide. The RD team is very supportive and wishes her all the best!

According to Premiere.FR, Rihanna will perform Russian Roulette at this year’s NRJ Music Awards, that will take place in Cannes, on January 23. Besides Rihanna, Jay-Z, David Guetta & Kelly Rowland, Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams and more will perform. Rihanna is nominated in the category International Female Artist Of The Year, vote for her!
